Why Kairos?

Kairos is a biblcal word that gives a perfect picture of our transition from this world to the next.

In the Greek language there are two words for TIME. One we are all familiar with: CHRONOS which is sequential, an exact time which is measureable, quantifiable - and where we get our word "chronological."

The other word is KAIROS which is not based on a watch or calendar but has the deeper, qualitative meaning of a perfect time or the opportune time for an action.

In the Bible, kairos means God's perfect time, the time in which God acts, an appointed time for God's purpse.

That is why we are a kairos doula - here to support a family during the journey toward the act of God in the final act of our physical lives.
